End of VDQS “Côtes de Saint-Mont” appellation

On 7 November 2007 the appellation “Côtes de Saint-Mont” changed to “Saint Mont” according to the Journal Officiel (Government publication). The Saint-Mont vineyard stretches over 1,300 ha on the west side of the Gers. Saint-Mont wines are available in three colours: red and rosé wines are made with Tannat (60%), Pinenc (20%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties; white wines with Arrufiac, Petit Courbu and Gros Manseng.
